Pennsylvania Evening News is an independent digital news and press-release platform serving the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We are not tied to any broadcaster or government body.
Automatically: standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages viewed and timestamps — used to keep the site secure and working.
From you: if you submit a press release, we keep the contact name, email, organization and content you provide, solely to publish and credit it.
To operate and improve the site, publish submitted releases, show third-party headlines, guard against abuse and answer messages. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not hand it to advertisers.
Headlines come from a news API and a news search service; weather comes from Open-Meteo. When you click a headline you leave our site for the original publisher, whose own policy then applies. We don't pass your browsing data to these providers.
We use a minimal set of cookies for basic functionality and aggregate analytics. You can control them in your browser settings.
Published releases stay up unless the submitter asks for removal. Routine server logs are purged within about 90 days.
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete data we hold. Email editor@pennsylvaniaeveningnews.com and we'll respond as the law requires.
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.
