Pennsylvania Evening News is an independent digital newsroom built on one idea: the Commonwealth deserves a front page of its own — from the row houses of Philadelphia to the rivers of Pittsburgh, and every small town in between.
Every aggregated headline shows its originating outlet and links straight to the source. We display a headline and short excerpt — never the full article body.
We filter the day's news down to what actually touches Pennsylvania — its cities, teams, weather and people — instead of chasing national noise.
Businesses, nonprofits and agencies can publish directly to our Press Wire, giving Commonwealth organizations a real platform.

Where our headlines come from. Headlines come from a licensed news API (Mediastack) and Google News, filtered to Pennsylvania and its major markets.
What we display. The headline, a short summary or thumbnail where provided, and a quiet "via" credit to the publisher. Every item links straight to the original story.
What we never do. We never republish or rewrite the body of another outlet's article.
Press Releases. Press releases are clearly labelled "Press Release". They are written and supplied by the organizations that submit them and are published as received.
Copyright. All headlines, images and articles remain the property of their respective publishers. The Pennsylvania Evening News name, logo, design and our own text are ours.
Corrections. Email editor@pennsylvaniaeveningnews.com and we will correct any error.
